Macleod, Melbourne
This project focused on softening a previously stark interior, introducing warmth and personality to a home defined by white walls and minimal detailing. We worked across the bedrooms, living and dining areas, developing a cohesive scheme through the selection of furniture, art, finishes and paint colours. A panelled wall treatment was introduced to the downstairs living area, adding depth and subtle architectural interest. Drawing on cues from the timber-lined windows and the surrounding dense, nature-rich setting, the downstairs spaces take on a subtle mid-century modern direction, grounding the interior with warmth, texture and a stronger sense of character. The result is a layered and considered home that feels calm, resolved and connected to its context.
Client testimonial
“Jacqui brought an extraordinary level of expertise and creativity to our home. She developed a cohesive design direction that ties everything together effortlessly, and she selected pieces and finishes that elevate each room in ways I couldn’t have imagined. The furniture, paint selections and lighting she recommended look amazing - far beyond anything I would have chosen on my own.
Having never engaged an interior designer before, Jacqui guided us through the whole process, from inspiration boards to images of the selections in our home, she handled all elements of the process. I enjoyed our various trips to different stores to view, test and select key items like dining furniture, sofas and armchairs. Her thoughtful and patient approach made the entire process enjoyable and easy. We’re thrilled with the outcome and so appreciative of the care she put into every detail.”
