Freshwater, Sydney
A carefully considered refurbishment for a family relocating from Singapore, designed to create a sense of ease, warmth and permanence within their new Melbourne setting. Working largely within the existing footprint, the approach focused on refining rather than replacing, reimagining key spaces through bespoke joinery, updated finishes and carefully curated materials.
The kitchen and bathrooms were thoughtfully upgraded to improve function and flow, while layered furniture, lighting and window treatments bring cohesion and softness throughout. Each element was resolved in relation to the next, creating a calm, unified interior that supports the rhythms of family life.
The result is a home that feels settled and enduring; balancing clarity with comfort, and offering a quiet sense of luxury that will evolve with the family over time.
Client testimonial
“Jacqui designed our brand new kitchen, walk in robe, two bathrooms, a powder room and laundry, Jacqui created spacial plans and furniture layouts for all of the spaces, designed bespoke joinery and selected furniture. The finished spaces are beautiful, functional and very much a reflection of us as a family. So much was designed with us still living in Singapore, hugely adding to the challenge. We needed our Freshwater home furnished when we moved countries with our two small children. At that point we hadn’t physically met, but had spent hours on the phone and on message. The end result was beautiful. Jacqui’s vast experience, professionalism, warmth and integrity were what we really appreciated about working with her.”
