Paint & colour

Paint is an amazing way to economically enhance and transform an interior. By choosing a paint that is not only a statement but a compliment can alter the way you perceive and experience a space. When choosing a paint, look at the architecture, the surface the paint will be going onto and the light in the room.

In the Balmain project I chose to paint the raked ceiling and one wall, this created an effect where the colour wrapped up from the wall to the ceiling, accentuating the angled architecture. I chose a slightly lighter tone of blue for the ceiling as to not enclose the already small space, but instead elevate the ceiling to give the illusion of a higher space. The blues used are from Porters Paints Explorer blue on the ceiling and Jodpher blue on the wall
